UN Deputy Secretary General You might be seen and overserving that the impact of climate change causing hazard event to become more and more intense and occur grater frequency. These impacts combine with other risks and threats such as conflict, epidemic or inflation, creating compound crises in the society, a phenomenal increasingly referred to as polycrisis. The global assessment report 2023 which called for resilience to be the foundation of efforts to achieve the sustainable development boards by addressing “resilience deficit” across all goals, ensuring the balance between social resilience, environment resilience and economic resilience. In such situations, Business Continuity, Supply Chain, Business without disruption, quick recovery from disruption have become a greater challenges. These increasing challenges is also enhancing complexities. Finding solutions to it all alone is not possible.

This theme is of paramount importance, as our lives are increasingly touched by the impact of disasters, both large and small. From pandemics to earthquakes, droughts to heatwaves, tsunamis to cloud bursts, these events have a devastating impact on lives and assets, costing us 3% or even more of our GDP annually. The world has changed and changing rapidly. The business as usual will not cope with the changing business environment. It is important that how quickly we adapt to these changes.

Trained Security and Safety outfits have to respond differently by enhancing their capacity, instrumentation and technology as they are the first responders in all types of crisis. The advent of artificial intelligence, IT Automation, Cloud Security, Machine Learning, Data Protection, Threat intelligence and hunting, Cybercrime, Workflow automation, ransom protection etc.
